Symptoms of Gum Disease

  • Red gums, Puffy gums: Gums may feel tender and bleed easily when brushing and flossing.

  • Shrinking gums, Receding gums: Expose the sensitive part of the tooth -- the root -- causing sensitivity to cold water, air, or brushing. If your teeth look longer than they used to, your gums are shrinking.

  • Wiggly teeth, Shifting teeth:  Gum disease can attack the bones that hold your teeth in place; loosing bone that holds teeth can cause tooth mobility and teeth may shift.

  • Bad breath: May be a symptom of serious gum disease. Your breath usually doesn’t change much if you’ve got gingivitis (early stage of gum disease).

GUM DISEASE CAN BE PREVENTED AND TREATED BEFORE IT GETS SERIOUS. SEE YOUR DENTIST ON A REGULAR BASIS.
