Dry Mouth

Dry mouth is also known as xerostomia happens when salivary glands do not produce enough saliva. It causes a dehydrated and dry feeling in the mouth and throat.

 Some symptoms of dry mouth are:

  • coarse tongue

  •  mouth sores

  •  cracked lips

  • A burning or tingling sensation in the mouth and on the tongue.

  • Frequent thirst

  • Stay hydrated. Drink water, sipping water can help dry mouth

  • Suck on sugarless candies and chew sugarless gum

  • Improve overall oral hygiene

  • Use alcohol-free mouthwash
