Cavities & Gum disease are preventable,

The health of the mouth is linked to the body.

Good oral hygiene is essential in maintaining healthy teeth and preventing gum disease.

Regular dental visits will help identify and deal with any signs of concern early on. Daily teeth cleaning and a healthy diet are equally important.

Tooth decay and cavities may not cause any symptoms until they are very large. Warning signs may include tooth sensitivity, particularly after sweet, cold, or hot foods and drinks.

It is recommended that you visit your dentist at least once a year.

People who use tobacco or a combination of tobacco and alcohol are at a greater risk.

most pre-cancerous and cancerous lesions are painless. See your dentist if you notice:

  • Sore that bleeds and does not heal in within 3 weeks

  • Lumps

  • Pain or numbness in the mouth or lips

  • Unexpected loosening of a tooth or teeth

Avoid tobacco, excessive alcohol use and wear lip balm that contains sunscreen to reduce the risk of lip  cancer.
